SEEING poverty in Zimbabwe inspired a North-East man to live on £1 a day for a working week.
Andrew Forsyth, a Durham University theology graduate, visited the southern African country as part of an internship with charity Christian Aid.
What he saw prompted the 22-year-old to accept the Live Below the Line challenge, to live on £1 a day for food and drink for five days.
He said: “For millions around the world living below the poverty line is a daily reality and although the five days were tough I have reached a new appreciation of the quantity, quality and choice of food we have in the UK.”
