A BOOK detailing the nautical adventures of the mascot of County Durham’s adopted warship has gone on sale for charity.
HMS Bulwark’s Lieutenant Mark Taylor and Michelle Emerson sent tales of the travels of William The Bear to pupils at Durham Trinity School and Sports College, in Durham City.
Now those blog entries have been turned into a children’s book, which was launched at Northumbria Quay, North Shields, where HMS Bulwarks is currently docked, on Friday (May 3) and at the school, in Aykley Heads, tonight (Tuesday, May 7).
To order copies of The Nautical Adventures of William The Bear, priced £5, email: durhamtrinity@durhamlearning.net
Proceeds will go to the school and St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
