A YORK music, food and ale festival saw crowds turn out in their droves to enjoy the good weather on Sunday (May 5).
The YO1 festival, in York racecourse, Knavesmire, was hailed a success by many but the warm weather meant long queues to enter the venue and at drinks tents.
The festival included the YO1 Micro Ale Festival, vintage fair, street food from all over the world and a mix of local bands and artists playing alongside big names including Rudimental and AlunaGeorge.
Local acts included Alice Ostapjuk, Alisia Casper, Bangers & Mash DJs, as well as Wirral-based By The Sea, vintage Jamaica group Bangarang, and comedian Chris Kendall.
The event was first held at Askham Bryan College last year, but the response was so strong, organisers moved it to Knavesmire.
The Micro Ale Festival had about 16 ales and ciders for drinkers to try, and the food festival featured street fare from Mexico and South America, Punjabi vegetarian food and upmarket fish and chips.
