BABY owls and ducks wowed the crowds at a bird centre today (Monday, May 6).
More than 100 people attended a flying display at Kirkleatham Owl Centre, near Redcar which was one of a series of bank holiday events.
But it was the owlets who stole the show for children who had the chance to get up close to some of the centre’s furry, feathery and scaly residents in an animal encounter session.
Other events at the centre including spring colouring and crafts and sunflower planting.
Craig Wesson, a volunteer at the centre, said: “The baby owls and ducks always go down well in the spring but it’s been a great weekend all round. The meerkats are also a big draw and there’s glitter everywhere from all the arts and crafts. It’s been a great weekend.”
