THE firm which runs York Racecourse is to stand trial over the death of a teenage cyclist on Knavesmire.
The case is scheduled to be heard at York Crown Court in September and is the second prosecution brought by the Health and Safety Executive against York Racecourse LLP.
The first was thrown out due to a legal technicality last November.
Ruby Milnes, 17, died in May 2008, while cycling home from York College after colliding with a lorry where a road and cycle track cross on the racetrack.
York Racecourse LLP denies breaching health and safety regulations.
