A MAN accused of robbing Ormesby petrol station at knifepoint has pleaded guilty at court.
Richard Boyer, of Rowen Close, Ingleby Barwick, admitted two charges of possession of a bladed weapon and one charge of robbery at Teesside Crown Court this morning (Thursday, March 28).
Appearing via video-link wearing a grey jumper and blue shirt the 37-year-old spoke only to confirm his name and enter his pleas.
Judge Howard Crowson told him to expect to go to prison when he is sentenced on Wednesday, April 17.
The robbery took place on Thursday, March 21 when Mr Boyer walked into the Snax 24 petrol station on Ormesby High Street and, in front of other customers, pulled out two knives and demanded cash.
He escaped with a small amount of money, some alcohol and some cigarettes but was arrested by police in Middlesbrough the same afternoon.
