A RISING music star took his band back to his old school today (Wednesday, March 27).
Jack Robinson’s North Road, an acoustic trio which last weekend reached the finals of The Big Audition talent competition, played a surprise concert at his old school, Belmont Community School, in Durham City.
The band played a few songs during the school’s lunch hour.
North Road reached the finals of The Big Audition by qualifying from the semi-finals, held at The Gates shopping centre, in Durham, last Saturday (March 23).
Sarah Button, a 16-year-old singer from Chester-le-Street, also made it through to the next stage, which will be held at the Riverside, in Newcastle, on Thursday, April 4.
The eventual winners will perform alongside leading acts at this year’s Metro Radio Live at the Newcastle Arena in November.
