A SCHOOLGIRL’S design has been chosen to appear on a supermarket’s reusable shopping bags.
Ten-year-old Charlotte Jones’ artwork was picked to be printed on 250 Tesco re-useable jute bags which will be distributed free to parents and children at her school, Laurel Avenue Primary, on Sherburn Road Estate, Durham City.
The bags are designed to promote the new Click and Collect Groceries service at Tesco Extra in Dragonville, the first of its kind in Durham.
Judges praised Charlotte’s entry into the competition for its colour, impact, style and sense of fun.
Charlotte won a £25 Tesco gift card for herself and £250 for her school.
