A YOUNG woman was pushed to the ground and robbed by a man with “long, yellow teeth” as she made her way to her local supermarket.

The 26-year-old victim was on her way to Asda on Ormesby Road in Middlesbrough at about 11am on Thursday, March 21when she was approached by a man who pushed her to the ground and stole cash from her handbag.

It is believed the man had followed her from Norfolk Place shops and along Ormesby Road and police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack.

The man is described as aged between 30 and 32 years old, white, of slim build, with blonde stubble and about 5’7 tall. He had a gaunt face and police said he was described as having distinctive long, yellow teeth and a scruffy appearance.

He was wearing a black jacket, with the hood up, and blue ripped jeans.
