A WOMAN has admitted impersonating murdered former oil executive Carole Waugh in order to hire a car.

Miss Waugh, originally from Durham, was reported missing by her family on May 7 and had not been seen since mid-April.

Julie Witham, 47, of Enfield, north London, pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to conspiracy to defraud.

She was remanded on conditional bail to be sentenced at the same court on April 26.

She admitted plotting to hire a car using a credit card in Miss Waughs name between April and August last year.

Rakesh Bhayani, 41, and Nicholas Kutner, 48, who are charged with murdering Miss Waugh, 50, were remanded in custody at the same hearing.

Six others accused of conspiracy to defraud were remanded on bail to the next hearing.

Miss Waugh disappeared from her home in Marylebone, central London, last spring.

Her body was found with a single stab wound inside a car in a lock-up garage in Lime Court, New Malden, south west London, on August 2.
