A house has partially collapsed in strong winds today (Sunday, March 24).
Emergency services were called to the corner of Grove Street and Yarm Road, Stockton, after high winds caused the side of a house to collapse, including its chimney.
Part of the road was closed while investigations continue.
Jolene Johnson, 19, a resident of Grove Street, said: "It wasn't empty, they were people who had been inside there."
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "The chimney and part of a wall has collapsed, and bricks have flown off the building.
"It is likely to have been caused by the weather. We have no snow, but strong winds at the moment."
No-one was injured.
