TAYLOR Wimpey has revealed plans for its new development at Lingfield Point in Darlington.

Millfields – which will have a sales office open this spring – will include a range of contemporary homes.

The innovative designs are part of a £1m regeneration scheme that will see the business park, which already has an established community as a major Darlington employer, transform into a wider homes community.

“We are really excited to be building in Darlington, and the fact we have got this fantastic space at Lingfield Point is incredible,” said Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire.

“There is already a recognised and established style in the community, so we have worked hard to adapt our designs to offer something a little different.”

The developer is initially releasing seven styles at Millfields, with a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes.

Various schemes will also be available on the homes, including the NewBuy initiative which only requires a five per cent deposit and a part-exchange scheme for existing homeowners.

John Orchard, director of Marchday, the owners of Lingfield Point, said: “When we began developing Lingfield Point, we had an ambitious vision of turning the site into one of the most sustainable mixeduse communities in Europe – where people could live and work with great facilities in great surroundings. Today, we are happy and proud to say that our vision is rapidly becoming a reality with the support of Taylor Wimpey.”

Debbie added: “Millfields at Lingfield Point is set to be a truly unique development with the added incentive that you will be buying into a great community.”
