A concert by The Band of the Yorkshire Regiment takes place this Sunday (March 24) at Middlesbrough Town Hall.

Tickets are £5 each, with all proceeds from ticket sales going to the Yorkshire Regiment Benevolent Fund which supports soldiers after they leave the army and their families.

HOSPICE DONATION: Hartlepool and District Hospice has been given £2,000 from a charitable fund run by Wynyard Park near Billingham, which is home to 65 companies. The money will go towards the running costs of the hospice in Wells Avenue, Hartlepool, which requires £2.6 million a year to run.

SCAM WARNING: Trading standards officers in Hartlepool are warning local traders about an advertising scam. They have received a number of reports of a con artists trying to dupe businesses out of money for adverts they didn’t take out. Traders receive a phone call or a letter implying that they had agreed to advertise in a booklet or a wall planner some months earlier.
