GYMNASTS from across the region will take part in a North-East championships this weekend (Sunday, March 24).
The North East Tumbling National Development Plan (NDP) championship will be held at Temple Park Gymnastics Centre, South Shields, South Tyneside, on Sunday.
Hundreds of gymnasts will compete for places in the National NDP finals, to be held in Stoke-on-Trent in June.
Among those taking part will be 23 tumblers aged eight to 16 from Deerness Gymnastics Academy, in Ushaw Moor, County Durham.
