A 13-YEAR-OLD boy has been left traumatised after being attacked by robbers on a busy residential street.
As the boy walked along Water Lane, in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, at 5pm on Monday (March 18), at least two people approached him from behind before pushing him to the ground.
As he was held on the pavement, his pockets were searched, before the offenders left empty-handed, possibly in the direction of Haye Park.
Police said the boy did not see the offenders.
PC Ben Hallewell said: “This is a shocking attack which has naturally left the young victim very upset.
“If you witnessed the incident or can help to identify those responsible, I urge you to come forward and contact the police or Crimestoppers immediately.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
