A WOMAN who harassed the family of a Hartlepool girl, who has been missing for more than 30 years, has today escaped jail.
DISAPPOINTED: Richard Lee holds a treasured photo of his daughter, Katrice, who went missing 32 years ago. He was supported at court by comrades who helped search for Katrice in Germany
Donna Louise Wright, of Hillside Court, Spennymoor had previously pleaded guilty at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court to harassment.
Today, she was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months.
The court heard that Miss Wright, who appeared by videolink from Newcastle Crown Court, had believed she may have been Katrice Lee and contacted the family via Facebook.
Katrice, whose father is from Hartlepool, went missing in 1981 in Germany where her father was in the Army and has never been seen since.
