PROJECT LAUNCH: Students from the Education Village, in Darlington, will launch a project on waste this week. They will be tasked with making a range of eco-friendly meals in response to media attention on the volumes of waste from the weekly shop. The scheme is being held with a 'project-based learning' approach. Students will this week visit the town's Asda store, to interview shoppers about how they dispose of packaging.
