A HOUSING developer has sponsored a youth football team for the second year.
Taylor Wimpey is renewing the football kits sported by Hetton Juniors.
Team manager Keith Finch: “We were so thankful to Taylor Wimpey when they originally stepped in to help the first time.
“Now, with the swift re-sponsorship, the lads are concentrating on the season ahead without worrying about funds being pulled.”
The 14-strong squad is located close to Taylor Wimpey’s popular Clarence Court development in Hetton-le-Hole.
The house-builder has built-up strong connections with the area since the site opened in October 2010, which is how they first became aware of the team’s struggle for sponsorship.
Joan Peart, marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North East, said: “We’re happy that we can help Hetton Juniors with another season of sponsorship.
"They’re a great bunch of boys who work so hard.“
"It was a no-brainer that Taylor Wimpey would be able to re-sponsor the lads. We’re all delighted it’s worked out so well.”
