A ROAD was closed while firefighters dealt with a blaze at a house in Darlington this evening.
Four engines were present at the height of the fire, which is believed to have started at just before 7pm in the attic of a house on Stanhope Road North.
An ambulance was called to the scene and paramedics were on standby, but it is understood that nobody was injured during the incident.
Police cordoned off a section of the road, while fire officers dealt with the blaze. The incident was under control by 9pm.
