TRIBUTES have been paid to a man who was murdered while celebrating a friend’s stag night.
Robert Adamczyk, of South Milford, near Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, was assaulted by one of a group of three men and fell to the ground suffering serious head injuries.
The 28-year-old died hours later at Leeds General Infirmary following the attack near The Grand Theatre and Opera House, in Harrison Street, Leeds, shortly before 2am on Sunday.
Detectives have released CCTV images of the three men they want to trace, who are seen entering Space nightclub in Duncan Street after the incident.
Det Chf Insp Simon Atkinson said: “I am appealing directly to these men to contact us and tell us what happened before we come and find them. The longer they leave it, the worse it will get.
“A young man who was simply enjoying a night out has tragically lost his life and his family and friends are understandably distraught and are struggling to come to terms with what has happened."
Stephen Cobb, Mayor of Tadcaster, said: “He was a likeable young man. All of our thoughts are with his family and friends and particularly his girlfriend, a local girl".
