Police are becoming increasingly concerned for a man missing now for more than a week.
Michael O’Neill was last seen leaving his home in Sunderland city centre at about 5.30pm on Monday, December 3.
He is described as white, approximately 5ft 4 - 6in, of slim build, with greying un-styled hair, wearing glasses which may have a gold thick rim.
When last seen he was wearing jeans and a navy jacket with a blue t-shirt underneath.
Fifty-five-year-old Mr O’Neill is said to be in ill-health and walks slowly, with some difficulty.
Superintendent Derek Scott, of Northumbria Police’s Sunderland command area, said: “It’s now been seven days since Mr O’Neill was last seen and, understandably, his family are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.
“We’re urging him, or anyone who knows his whereabouts, to contact police as a matter of urgency so we can ensure he is okay.”
Anyone with any information should contact the Northumbria force via the non-emergency 101 number.
