THE Northern Echo is now available on a new digital device - keeping readers right up to date with the latest breaking news.

The newspaper is one of the first in the country on the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet, offering subscribers instant touch screen access to news from across the region.

Subscribers can now download digital editions of the newspaper as a full-colour replica on a seven-inch screen, and will be able to swipe through pages and zoom into stories and photographs with ease.
