A-LEVEL student Erika Lee has certainly made her mark at school.
The 17-year-old boarder at Barnard Castle School has designed a new stained glass window to mark the 100th anniversary of the campus's chapel.
Erika, who is studying chemistry, classics, art and theatre studies, entered a competition at the school to come up with a design for the new window.
She said she had tried to represent all aspects of school life in her effort.
“I don't know how I was chosen, but I enjoyed doing it – it was the best experience,” said Erika.
“Now it is there, I am very proud. It is exactly how I imagined it and it's going to be there for a long time.”
A centenary service and dedication of the new stained glass window will be held at the school chapel on November 9.
