HISTORIAN and television presenter Dr David Starkey CBE will speak at a fund-raising event for a 17th century country house in North Yorkshire.
Dr Starkey will be at the Kings Head Hotel in Richmond on Thursday, November 8 at 7.30pm in support of Kiplin Hall, near Scorton, between Richmond and Northallerton.
Dr. Starkey is an expert on English monarchy history, but the subject of the talk is yet to be confirmed.
A spokesperson for Kiplin Hall said: “This lecture will be fascinating and amusing, and will support fund-raising activities at Kiplin Hall.”
Proceeds from the evening will go towards the cleaning and conservation of an oil painting dated 1615.
Tickets cost £25 and include wine and canapés.
