AN MP dressed up as a fictional superhero and walked around a town centre in the name of a good cause.

Alex Cunningham, MP for Stockton North, dressed up as Captain Energy in an effort to promote Stockton Citizens Advice Bureau's (CAB) campaign to help people cut their fuel bills.

CAB is campaigning across the country to help people manage their energy bills, which have been increasing in recent years.

Mr Cunningham saidthat this week is Big Energy Saving Week and CAB offer advice on how to reduce bills, better manage their household budget and claim financial support.

He said: “I would urge residents in my Stockton North constituency to ensure that they are not paying more for their energy than they have to.”

People can get advice between 9.30am and 2.30pm on weekdays at Horizons (the financial capability part of CAB), 1 Bridge Road, Stockton.
