HODGSON Catherine (née Hird)

HODGSON (nee Hird), Catherine (Cath) of Darlington, Catterick Village and Reeth, passed away at Darlington memorial hospital on 10th September. Born 1st August 1942. A previous Northumberland county swimmer, unbelievably loved mum of Phill, and dear sister of Jean and Irene. Aunt, great-aunt and good friend to many. The family are unable to extend their gratitude to the NHS, for the care and consideration given to Cath during her illness.
Funeral Thursday, October 3rd. Friends please meet for the service in Darlington Crematorium, to start at 1 pm. Smart casual clothing very welcome.

A very dear friend to Christine who was about to embark on another adventure to the island of Crete. Cath sadly missed and thought about daily. Hopetown Ladies Darts Team have much to thank you for, as do the whole of the Ladies Magnet League have, in instigating and founding a very successful games over the last 30 years. Many good friends will miss you in games and sport, with fondest memories from us all.
