DEMPSEY John James 'Jack', of Toronto (formerly Crook), on 27th August 2024, aged 75 years. Loving partner of June and beloved husband of the late Beryl. Devoted stepdad to Paul and Vicky. A dear brother to Kathleen, Anne, Bobby and Mary. Best mate to Dave and a good friend to many. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday 11th September 2024 at 12.30pm at Wear Valley Crematorium, Coundon. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers may be left at the crematorium for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Jack.

Such sad news.
He was always considered a much-loved part of our family: from the earliest of times when he was a constant presence (Helmington Grange Farm); through to recent times when, although less frequent, we would just pick up where we left off.
As a family, we always knew him as “Jackie”, and whether he was in the room, or just part of the conversation he would always bring smiles to our faces. He was a beautiful soul and will be missed greatly.
John and June will be waiting to welcome him with open arms, and he will forever be in my heart. Julie Young (formerly Sewell).
