JOHNSON Thomas William It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our wonderful Dad and Grandad, of Newton Aycliffe formally Thornley, Co. Durham. Tommy passed away suddenly but peacefully on 2nd August 2024, aged 96 years. Beloved Husband to the late Molly; much loved Dad to Pamela, Tom, Bernard, Paul, Anne and the late Angela; much respected Father-in-law and the proudest Grandad to fifteen Grandchildren, nineteen Great-Grandchildren and three Great Great-Grandchildren. Son to the late George and Isabel; Brother to the late Edith; Brother-in-Law, Uncle and good friend to many near, far, past and present. Service to celebrate his long and wonderful life, will take place at Durham Crematorium on Friday 16th August 2024 at 2pm. Family flowers only please, given Tommy's great love for animals, especially dogs, and in memory of his beloved Dandy, donations, if so desired, would be graciously received for the Dogs Trust at Sadberge. The family would like you to join us afterwards at Woodham Golf Club, Newton Aycliffe from 3.30pm, those who are unable to travel to Durham are also warmly welcomed to remember this very special man, our Dad.
