GILBERT Graham Of Rookhope Passed away peacefully at home on 16th July aged 86 years. A much-loved dad, grandad, partner and a friend to many. Friends, please meet for a service in All Saints Church, East gate on Thursday 1st August at 11 am followed by interment in Rookhope cemetery. Family flowers only please.

It was with deep sadness I learnt of Gilbert's passing last week. As a young kid in Rookhope, he regularly took me to Consett baths, taught me to snow ski and fix cars. Thankfully we spent some time together when I biked the C2C two years ago, and I spent a couple of nights at Rookhope (see photo). His energy will be sorely missed.
