JACKSON Hugh Peacefully at home on 6th February 2024, aged 82 years. Much loved husband, dad, grandad, father-in-law and brother. A private funeral will take place at Hugh's request.

I met Hugh at the Forum jazz sessions each Tuesday always friendly and approachable and with some wonderful stories. I looked forward to seeing him each week. This will leave a big hole in our team but long remembered

On behalf of all of us in the Forum Jazz Group I would like to send our condolences for the loss of Hugh. His support as an enthusiastic member of the group will be sadly missed, and not least his contribution as a player. He was a regular on Tuesday mornings and will be remembered for his good humour, friendly nature and an extensive knowledge of jazz. We have created our own version of 'Jackson Stomp' by Tuba Skinny (one of Hugh's favourite jazz bands) in his memory. Phil Dale
