METCALFE Brian on November 29th, of Trimdon Grange. Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Brian aged 85 years, beloved husband to Alaine, devoted father to Nicola, much loved son-in-law to Shaun and grandad to Alex and Chloe. Retired employee of Thorn Lighting in Spennymoor. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday 12th December, please meet for service at St Mary Magdalene Church, Trimdon Village at 1pm. Committal to follow at Durham Crematorium. All welcome at Spennymoor Town Hall afterwards for refreshments. The Metcalfe family wish to express their gratitude to the staff at James Cook Hospital, Skerne Medical Group, Macmillan and Marie Curie for their support and amazing care.
