SMITH (nee Thompson) of Eggleston (formerly of Shildon) Passed away suddenly on 16th November aged 73 years. Sandra, dearly loved and loving wife of Dave, treasured mam of Karen, and cherished nana of Tom and Maia. A dearly loved sister, sister-in-law, auntie and mother-in-law. A good friend and neighbour to many. She will be in our hearts forever. Could friends and family please meet at Durham Crematorium on Monday 11th December at 10:30am for a farewell service. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Sandra may be left at the crematorium for the PDSA. After the service all are welcome to the Park Head Hotel, Coundon for light refreshments.

4 months have passed now mam. I think about you every single day. There's so much going on, I keep thinking I'll ring you about this, that and the other, then I realise you're gone. I'm surviving, but it's not the same. I go down to the crem but I don't feel you with me any more and I start to panic. You are in my dreams now and again and I'm so happy but when I wake up it's so sad again. You were never supposed to leave like this. You were one in a million! I am proud to be your daughter, I am so gratefu that my children knew you. You have left a huge a hole in our lives , but also a legacy of kindness, humility and unjudgemental determination to make lives better for all around us. I am so thankful that you are my Mam!!!!! 💕💕💕💕💕
