BROWN On 15th July 2023 peacefully. Joyce aged 82 years of Darlington. Dedicated retired teacher of Hurworth School. Proud aunt of Amanda and Victoria. Loving great aunt of Oliver, Sophie and Bella. Funeral Wednesday 30th August. Would family and friends please meet 10:00am for a service at Darlington Crematorium followed by refreshments. It was Joyce's wish that mourners don't wear black.

Joyce was my cousin, and such a wonderful person. I wondered what had happened to her when he Xmas cards stopped. As a child I was pushed around in my very large pram by Joyce and her sister Pamela. He father James was my mothers dance partner when they were young, and Victor Silvester wanted them to dance on his shows, but my granny Brown said no! There are only 4 of the cousins left now from a very large family. Rest in Eternal Peace my lovely cousin Joyce xx

Joyce was a wonderful person, a kind and caring teacher and someone who brought joy to so many. The world has lost someone really special. She will be sadly missed.
