WOOD Albert Henry, known as 'Harry', of Cockfield, aged 94 years, peacefully in the care of Eden House Care Home, 9th August 2023. Devoted husband to the late Brenda. Loving father to Diane and David, and father-in-law to John. A dear grandfather to Christina and Jenny. A well respected man, and a good friend to many. Harry will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A funeral service will take place in St Mary's CofE Church, Cockfield, on Tuesday 29th August, at 12.30pm, which will be followed by a private, family committal at the Wear Valley Crematorium, Coundon. Following the service, the family warmly invites everyone for refreshments at the 'YMCA Teesdale Community Café'. Donations in memory of Harry may be left at the church for 'Cancer Research UK'.
