BARR 21st February peacefully at home, of Spennymoor. Peter aged 83 years. Beloved husband of Enid, a dearly loved father and father-in-law of Kathryn and Tony, Andrea and Vince, an adored grandad, great-grandad and a loving pet owner. Would relatives and friends please meet at St Charles RC Church, Tudhoe, on Wednesday 8th March for a service at 2:45pm followed by a private committal at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Marie Curie

Peter was a lovely man and an important part of my childhood. He was warm, funny and so easygoing. I'll treasure forever the golden memories of sunny family caravan holidays. Sleep well old friend, you've earned it.
