COATES of Beddell House, Durham formerly of Woodham Village. Peacefully in hospital on 8th December. Thomas Edward (Captain Tom), aged 93 years. Former teacher at Timothy Hackwork School and Headmaster at Houghton-le-Spring School. A very loving caring gentleman who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A private funeral service took place at Durham Crematorium.
