ALLISON Keith, peacefully on 16th September, aged 79 years, of Shildon. A dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle and good friend to many. A funeral Service will take place in Shildon Salvation Army Hall at 1.30pm on Wednesday 26th October, followed by committal at the Wear Valley Crematorium, Coundon

My Uncle Keith, thankfully, died peacefully at the University Hospital, Durham. He had been in and out of hospital for around two months before he died. He had esophageal cancer. Many people will remember him as a "pub boomer" - someone who sold the 'War Cry' in pubs around Bishop Auckland and Shildon for 50 years. He always had a smile on his face. The Salvation Army was his life and he will be greatly missed by my wife, Rebecca,; son, Dominic; stepson, Greg, and me. Rest in peace and rise in glory.
