ATKINSON John George, suddenly but peacefully on 3rd October. Dearly loved husband of Frances, much loved dad of Jan, David and Kay and grandad of Filly and Matthew. Funeral Thursday 13th October. Would friends please meet for a service in Cockerton Methodist Church, Darlington at 2pm followed by a private cremation. Family flowers only, donations may sent for The British Heart Foundation and Cockerton Methodist Church c/o Whitehouse Funeral Service, 11 West Auckland Road, Darlington DL3 9EJ. Thank you for everything you did for me and all the time that we spent together over the years.
For teaching me to ride a bike , learn to swim , turning up to watch me play sports , for your support when times went wrong in my life , for your many puns and jokes, and our many talks.
I am deeply missing you and very proud that you are my father.
One day I will see you again on the cricket boundary to resume our Innings together.
