GELDARD On 22nd August of Sunderland Bridge. Edwin Stanley ( Ed) aged 84 years, beloved husband of the late Marjorie and a much loved uncle of Avril and Kathryn. Friends please meet for service in St Bartholomew's Church, Sunderland Bridge, on Wednesday 7th September at 1.15pm followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Donations, in memory of Ed, may be given after the service for The Stroke Association.Tributes

Uncle Ed will be missed hugely by his family, who all loved him dearly. May he now be at rest, once again with his beloved Mags. We couldn't have asked for a more legendary great uncle! x

Heartbroken at the loss of my beautiful Uncle Ed. A beautiful soul with a wicked sense of humour. He is deeply missed by his family: brother Bill, daughter Camille, Nieces Kim and Lois, Great nieces and nephew, Philip, Laura, Hannah, Caroline and Lara, his great Great nieces and nephews, Nathan, Matthew, Michael, Lillie, Poppy, Carenza, Georgia, William, Felix and Benjamin. He led a long and wonderful life full of adventure, I hope he has found peace and calm now he is reunited with Mags. Much love Uncle Ed, you will live forever in our hearts x
