METCALFE 30th July, peacefully, Sandra (nee Hobson) aged 72 years of Bishop Auckland, loving wife of Dennys, dearly loved mam of Stephen and Alison, dear mother-in-law of Jennifer and Shawn, devoted nana to Tom, Joy and a good friend to many. Will friends please meet for service on Monday 15th August at 11:30 a.m. at Wear Valley Crematorium, Coundon. Bright colours are preferred for the celebration of Sandra's life. Family flowers only, donations in lieu may be left at the crematorium for the Dogs Trust.

Condolences to Dennys and family.
I have fond memories of Sandra in the late 60’s and 70’s. Sandra worked in what was then the General Post Office Newgate Street Bishop Auckland. We met there sharing coffee breaks, when I worked in the Telephone Exchange in the same building. Along with other friends, Joan, Hazel and Marian and others, we all shared a lovely friendship, days out, nights out, laughing, crying, not forgetting Dieting!
