MORGAN Barrie B.A (Hons), D.F. D.A.G 'Our Bazz'. College and University Lecturer (emeritus) (One of the Hoppers From Woodhouse & Tindale ) Bazz got himself away from this world after a good life well spent on 8th July 2022 very peacefully at home in Toft Hill Bishop Auckland in his usual very calm, relaxed, easy going, chilled and laid back manner after 72 years on earth. Son of the late Bertie and Mary. Dearly loved and devoted brother (and Adopted son) of Jean and brother-in-law and best mate Derrick. Brilliant, kind, generous, patient and much loved uncle (and brother) and best mate of Adie and Derrick (jnr), dear friend of Kelly, devoted and much loved great-uncle of Callum and friend of Callum's partner Natalie, very devoted great-great-uncle to Abigail Jane and Willow Jayne, loving and dearly loved stepdad to Antonia and dear friend of her partner Anthony, incredibly devoted, loving, doting, admiring and very dearly loved granda to Kristiana and Eleni and good friend of Eleni's partner Harley. Bazz was a gem of a soul in this world, who did no wrong, he was kind, peaceful, generous, tolerant, patient, loving, understanding, pacifistic, humble, modest, quiet, egalitarian, funny, entertaining, knowledgeable, incredibly intelligent, stylish, suave, a great craftsman, guitarist, brilliant cook (just like Keith Floyd) and a dedicated enthusiast of wine, women and song, sometimes miserable and often gormless. He dedicated so much of his life to learning about anything and everything and gave so much of himself and his knowledge to the countless students which he helped in his lifetime. A brilliant conversationalist whose company it was always a pleasure to be in. Some great people have come out of Bishop Auckland in its time and Barrie was definitely one of them without doubt. He gave so much, asked for so little and you would need to travel a very long road before you met a soul equally as kind. We are all going to miss you in the meanwhile mate, we all hope you have a safe journey home and once again you will be in the company of souls who love you and are waiting to welcome you home. Go easy and God speed, may you be blessed always! You did good mate! You were one of the best and are loved very much. 'See you eventually!' Tek care. Cortege meeting 21 Aldhun Close, Bishop Auckland, Dl14 6XL at two o'clock prompt on Friday 12th August for service at Coundon Crematorium at half past two. Please feel free to join the cortege. There will be a buffet at the Cross Keys pub in Hamsterley Village where Barrie loved to while away a Friday evening with his family eating a pub meal and drinking wine, beer and the occasional wee dram after his send off and all are invited and welcome. Please don't feel obliged to wear black clothing if you don't want to, Barrie wasn't one for the status quo and he loved beauty and colour so wear whatever you want, Barrie will just be pleased you came to see him off. Floral tributes to be delivered to Gibson's undertakers Cockton Hill Road Bishop Auckland. Barrie loved having a laugh and taking the 'water' so don't feel obliged to be miserable or somber, he'd rather see happy faces seeing him off than a load of folk wowling on. Tempus Fugit, especially when you are throwing clocks.Your tribute has been received.
Once your tribute has been approved by our moderators, it will appear on Barrie MORGAN's notice.
