A much beloved nana of Joanne and husband David in Mount Eliza, Australia. Great grandmother to Christopher, Abigail and Michael and great great grandmother of Hayley, who shares her birthday.
Aged 96 nana spent the last couple of years at North Park Care Home but lived most of her life until recently at Parkside and before that, Geneva Road and Brunton Street.
Nana was a member of the Eastbourne Methodist Church in Darlington where many family events were held.
Nana and Grandad owned property in Whitby where many treasured family memories live on in my mind and for all, who enjoyed their holidays there.
She was a the remaining sister to Walter, Emma, Thelma, Robert and Dorothy Bainbridge.
Margaret Wilkinson was the only nana I had, although I have been in Australia since 1988, we have been back many times to visit, most recently sharing Christmas 2018.
She passed on valuable learnings to me at a young age, the value of saving and of property, I believe these teachings have guided me on my path today as a property investor. And also cake, I love cake and biscuits, maybe I shouldn't have picked that up from her!
Memories will stay forever of a kind, christian lady, generous and sweet toothed, a loving nana who I adored, who was totally devoted to all her family.
Joanne
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs and stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass, where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight, streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at beauty's glance, and watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can, enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare.

You have been with us so long it doesn’t seem real that you’ve left us. Though so far away I have cherished every moment with you. Your cheeky spirit is imprinted on us all and will always be remembered. Now you are reunited with Grandad Albert I hope you are watching over us all. Love you lots Abigail XXXXX

Dear Gangie
I love you so very much and will miss you always. You will always be in my heart and the best part of my birthday is sharing it with you, and I feel very lucky to have had such a good great-great-grandma for so long and I can’t wait to see you again for cuddles.
Loving and missing you, Hayley Dawn
