What was your first car?
An ugly olive truck that my Dad gave me! It wasn’t worth much. but I made it cool by adding spoilers, a TV and all that stuff. I was 14 and working in Hawaii and back then you could get your licence when you were that age.
How many times did it take to pass your test?
I went to Drivers Ed in the US and my brother Jay helped me. I can’t remember what car, I passed, but there’s no way on earth I should have done – I think I went down a one way street!
Who would be your ideal fantasy passenger and where would you go?
My wife Michelle and Switzerland, above. We recently did that and it was a blast.
What is your dream car?
Aston Martin Vanquish, it’s such a cool car!
How would you describe your driving style?
I used to love a stick-shift in a high performance car, but now I’m more about a smooth ride.
Tell me one driving anecdote from your past?
I used to drive a DeLorean, and I had the most embarrassing experience on a date when it stopped in the middle of an interstate. I asked my date to jump into the driving seat so that I could get out and push it, but she didn’t want to, so I ended up driving and she pushed! Talk about not being a gentleman, I looked terrible, people were honking their horns and my friends kept telling me later that they couldn’t believe I had my date push the car!
What are you listening to?
I love classic rock, so anything by the Eagles and I’m happy!
What do you drive now?
I just sold my Audi S4, so I’m in-between cars. I’m looking at the Audi Q7, but hoping for an Aston Martin Vanquish (laughing)!
