George Wright, Sadberge
"My first car was a 1953 Austin A40 Somerset. I bought it from Cowies in Sunderland in 1961.
It was a solidly built car. In 1962, I was living at Mildenhall in Suffolk.
On a night out with some friends I took a corner a bit too fast and tipped the car on its side.

We jumped out and pushed it upright and drove home.
After a few weeks being repaired I got it back, but it never felt as good as it used to and I sold it. We now have a Vauxhall Insignia, a million miles away from the old A40."
