"THIS is a picture of my Harvest Gold MG Midget 1500 called Gloria. Gloria was the 54th model of this version to roll off the production line. She was first registered on January 1, 1975 making her my older "other" woman by one month and 17 days.
I have owned her since July 1992 when I was 17 and purchased her from a lady in Darlington. Over the last 23 years she has been a part of many firsts in my life.
For example, my now wife and I went on our first date together in her when I was 18, she was the car I took my son to his christening in, she was also the car I used to go to the church on my wedding day.
In addition she has been part of many sunny days out and remains very much part of the family.
She will never be the fastest of cars or the most valuable or in some MG purists' eyes the most attractive with her black bumpers.
However, to me she is priceless because of all the memories and fun she has brought and will continue to do so."
