What was your first car?
“My first car was a Honda Civic. I was a professional motorcyclist at 16 years of age and rode for Honda so I was able to have a company car throughout my racing career until I was 32.”
How many times did it take to pass your test?
“It took me two attempts to pass my test. It was going so well on my first test until I nearly knocked a cyclist off his bike! I was taught in Worksop by a guy called Arnold. Really nice guy.”
Who would be your ideal fantasy passenger and where would you go?
“Cher!, above, I would drive over the Route 66 to Las Vegas and watch her perform.”
What is your dream car?
“I go from modern cars like the new Ferrari to real classics like the Gullwing Mercedes. Depends what mood I'm in.”
How would you describe your driving style?
“I've always been pretty steady on the road as I was always able to go 200mph most weekends on the bike so it was nice to chill out when I got back on the road.”
Tell me one driving anecdote from your past?
“I've recently been driving all over the UK on tour with my band in a Mercedes Sprinter van, above,! It's been so much fun driving from Truro to Glasgow and seeing the different scenery along the way with rock music blasting out the speakers and banter with the lads!”
What are you listening to?
“I have Foo Fighters, above, album in at the moment as I've just discovered the band over the past few months. Other than that I love Planet Rock Radio.”
What do you drive now?
“In my last season of racing I rode for BMW so I currently drive an X6 M50d! I love it!”
