WHAT was your first car?

The Northern Echo: An old VW Beetle car and a new Ford Focus help illustrate the scrappage scheme

My first car was a VW Beetle, above,. I Had a romantic notion about them that very quickly went when the engine blew up on the M6 on the way to a building site i was working on. Only had it a week.

HOW many times did it take to pass your driving test?

The Northern Echo:

I got it first time in a Fiat 127, above. It was my mum's car and i had just turned 17. Couldn't wait to get mobile and get out of Northern Ireland.

WHO would be your ideal passenger and where would you like to go?

Someone who kept their mouth shut and just listened to ideas I had for jokes. I would like to go to the shops and back home. I do enough driving to gigs as it is without just driving for the sake of it.

WHAT is your dream car?

The Northern Echo: Enterprise rent-a-car employees Richard Bowring, Govinderjit Dhinsa, Marcel Dixon and Izzy Husseyin	BE11024

All hire cars are dream cars really. They just give them to you and they start first time every time and if they don't they give you a new one. And you don't have to clean them.

HOW would you describe your driving style?

I will normally drive after the gig home. Even if it's a three-hour drive. I use that time to unwind.

TELL me one driving anecdote from your past?

I raced in a celebrity race in Melbourne before the Grand Prix. I was coming second until the fourth last corner, but fell back because I was laughing so much. Came fourth. I didn't have a panel left on the BMW as I smashed into everyone on the way around. It was such a laugh. Some of the other drivers failed to see the joke.

WHAT are you listening to?

I listen to Radio 1 coming back from gigs, but will switch between them all.

WHAT do you drive now and why?

The Northern Echo: GREENEST CHOICE: The Toyota Prius

I drive a Toyota Prius, above, which I love. It's great. It's economical and winds some people up for some reason and I like that.
