ACTRESS Jamie Lee Curtis is returning to the franchise which landed the star her first film role.
The 60-year-old is reprising her part in the new Halloween slasher 40 years after she played Laurie Strode for the first time.
In an interview with the BBC, Curtis said: "I haven't been in one in 20 years. I'm in this one simply because of what director David Gordon Green wrote.
"The real stamp of approval is John Carpenter's, not mine," she said, referring to the director of the original, who has returned as the composer and executive producer of this one.
The Northern Echo dug out these pictures of Curtis’s career in its archives for our new weekly feature looking back at entertainment.
