We thought it was a good time to delve into our Barnard Castle file from The Northern Echo's archives.
If any of them bring back memories, or if you have any information about any of them, please email chris.lloyd@nne.co.uk
FROM THE AIR: Looking north on a sunny day in Barney, with the Buttermarket in the centre of the picture, the straight Roman lines of Galgate near the top, and then the seven arches of the Percy beck railway viaduct
MILL TOWN: Whenever we flick through our Barnard Castle archives we always say we must do a proper article on Ullathorne's Mill – there it is again on the right of the County Bridge with the castle on the opposite bank. Perhaps one day we'll get round to it
UP THE BANK: This picture was taken in February 1984. Is it too recent, then, to tempt the car-spotters into identifying the five vehicles parked left to right outside Blagraves?
MEET PROCESSION: The band reaches the Buttermarket on May 31, 1988
CASTLE COUPLE: Andrew Morrow and his sister Rachel collect for charity on a Dickensian walkabout on February 1, 1988
FROM THE BRIDGE: The Meet raft race on the Tees on May 29, 1989
