I gazed down into the faintly rippling water and became transfixed
A beautiful white round ball rested on the waves, so peacefully
It was the moon’s reflection, cast like a fine exquisitely-patterned imprint against the dark watery mass
So full it was, so intensely bright. And so tranquil, like Mother Nature herself in thought
Looking up at me so sweetly, extending her warm tender hand out towards me.
Enticing me to surrender my entire soul and join her.
So that both of us could merge as one, in total harmony no less.
